Gaz Alazraki, is an awesome mexican writer and director, famously known for his blockbuster movie called Nosotros los Nobles, which became the highest-grossing homegrown Mexican film of all time. Los Nobles doubled the record for highest grossing Mexican film in History – with 7.2 million viewers and $340 million pesos in Box Office Sales. And now as Netflix wanted to expand into the Latin American market, Gaz came up with an idea that was sort of like Game of Thrones set in the world of soccer, with family members fighting for ownership of a soccer team.
Born and raised in CDMX, Gaz move to the US and chose to acquire On Set experience by working on big productions from the advertising industry.
Funny, witty and a little irreverent, Gaz found the secret formula to turn something common into something exceptional. A way of telling stories with a different angle, creating good cliff-hangers between the story and the audience.
Gaz teamed up again with Leo Zimbrón and Moisés Chiver on Club de Cuervos, Netflix first Spanish speaking, original series produced in Mexico for the world, which Gaz has directed and edited all three seasons.
Moises Chiver is a founding partner of Alazraki Entertainment. He was the producer of BONDABLE and Club de Cuervos. He began his career in 1999, standing out due to his extreme organization and good budget management. Being the producer of films directed by Michel Franco and Gary Alazraki, he became the producer of Nosotros los Nobles. After more than 300 ads, he is now the producer of 3 movies that are in postproduction, 2 international series, and 2 more movies about to begin with the process of shooting, including Casi el paraíso, Gary Alazraki’s next film.
Gaz and Moi will be part of TagCDMX, to talk about the goals and challenges they have faced while producing the most popular series in Spanish. They will take us to a journey starting when they produced the famous film Nosotros los Nobles, through the successful series Club de Cuervos, to a new project that they are preparing right now for all their fans.
