Multi-awarded journalist, TV reporter and writter, his journalistic eye is very untraditional and brutaly honest. Disciplined and energetic, Ben Anderson is the kind of guy who always stands up to speak the truth.

He has dedicated his entire life to tell stories from one of the most dangerous places in the world. His first time on Afghanistan was on 2007 and without even thinking of it he eded up spending the next 6 years as a war reporter, obsessing with everything he saw.

Following the rules of a media like Vice (that fluctuates among a thin line between original and underground), Ben Anderson’s chronics have detailed the impossible: the uselessness of the armed forces, the drug and sex abuse, but mostly he has narrated the corruption surrounding an endless war. Because each and everyone of his investigations invites us to collectivism and transgression, his words have spread throughout the world, because Anderson doesn’t answer to anyone but to provocation.

Never tired and always passionate and receptive, he has witnessed the most terrible face of war: conflicts that lasted for days, suicide terrorists willing to do everything, buried explosives everywhere and bombs that fell like rain from the sky.

Ben knows, by experience, that the worst things can happen at any moment, but the closeness to the bullets have not stolen his courage nor his sense of humor. And that’s exactly why Ben Anderson is one of the most valued war journalists of our time and having him in the 5th anniversary of TagCDMX is a true honor for a generation that seeks for fresh and original news.

Ben Anderson and Vice will give us a invaluable lesson on the real meaning of doing true journalism on the digital era.

TagCDMX, 5 years celebrating brilliant ideas.
